On Monday 14th August 2017, HabAid hosted 110 children with their families from Camp Simcha, for the most exciting and memorable day.
The Daytona racing track in Milton Keynes allowed the children to experience the thrill of racing go-karts in a safe and controlled environment. HabAid also arranged for several super-cars including Ferrari's, Porsche's, TVR's and many more so the children could get a ride in those with trained drivers. There was also laser war games, arts and crafts and so much more!
Sadly the children we host are suffering a variety of illnesses, some terminal. So the excitement and fun of the day not only took away the constant issues that these children and their families experience 24/7, but it will also leave a lasting and cherished moment in time where the whole family could experience a fantastic day together and probably have an experience they were not likely to have every had in any other circumstances.
The day was organised and funded by the donations that are received through HabAid and we thank our patrons and everyone that has donated to us big and small. It's a day like this that makes all the hard work the committee put in throughout the year totally worthwhile.
